Anti-trafficking Ad Hoc Committee Update April 4

I am in the process of developing the Ad Hoc Committee for Anti-trafficking activities in our Region. Many of you have approached me, as I have traveled through the region, with your interest  in being part of the Committee.

This endeavor will be an exciting adventure and will allow us to enhance our anti-trafficking activities in the region. Sex-trafficking of minors has unfortunately become an epidemic. We can't stop fighting this horrendous crime! It is no longer in your backyard, it potentially is in your neighborhood. It is a mobile, transient crime and the statistics are alarming.

I will be approaching those names who have showed interest in becoming part of the committee. If you would like to add your name to the committee, please contact me.

I would like to do a training at Conference in Reno on Friday the 28th. at 4:00pm at the Atlantis. I will try to give you an understanding of your role on the Ad Hoc Committee.

This training will follow the afternoon workshop at 2:30. Kelly Ranasinghe, JD, Senior Program Attorney for the National Council of Family and Juvenile Court Judges will talk about Teen Dating Violence, Collaboration with the Courts and Domestic Child Sex Trafficking.

I hope you can make both workshops.

Travel safely.
